Man arrested in Sunday morning fatal crash in Collier

— A LaBelle man is accused of DUI manslaughter in the Sunday morning death of an 81-year-old Collier County man near Immokalee High School.

Just before 9 a.m., Victor Felix Moreno was driving east on Immokalee Drive when he ran a stop sign at North Ninth Street and crashed into a car driven by Joel M. Feinson, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. After hitting the driver's side of Feinson's car, Moreno's SUV hit a sign and a tree on the north shoulder.

Feinson was pronounced dead at the scene. Moreno was taken to NCH North Naples Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Both men were wearing seat belts, according to a crash report. Troopers said Moreno, 26, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Corrections deputies said Moreno was being held at the Immokalee Jail Center on Sunday evening. Bond information was not immediately available.
