An East Naples man is accused of drug and firearm violations following a domestic dispute at his home Saturday morning.
Around 7 a.m., Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrived the home of Robert Anthony Rodriguez in the 5600 block of Whitaker Road, where a woman said she had been put in a choke hold by Rodriguez.
The woman told deputies the two got in an argument when she asked him to leave the apartment, according to an arrest report. Rodriguez then grabbed her from behind and put his arm around her neck, reports said.
While at the home, deputies found three bags of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, an electronic scale, a bottle of Xanax tablets, a loaded 9mm handgun, a loaded 40-caliber handgun and two bundles of cash totaling $2,288, reports stated.
Rodriguez told deputies he was afraid to tell them about the guns because he is a convicted felon. He said he sells the marijuana for three times what he pays for it.
Rodriguez, 22, faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm, possessing more than 20 grams, possessing marijuana with intent to sell, possessing a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia and domestic violence battery.
