Wendelyn Mae Nall, 23, faces a misdemeanor battery charge.

A Naples Park woman is accused of punching and spitting on a stranger early Sunday while they were camping out for the swamp buggy races at the Florida Sports Park.

A man told Collier County sheriff's deputies he was sitting in his truck around 3:15 a.m. when Wendelyn Mae Nall, 23, came up to him, punched him in the mouth and spit in his face. She then pulled him out of the truck and broke his gold necklace, according to an arrest report.

The man said he had never seen Nall before and didn't know why she attacked him, reports said. Nall refused to speak with deputies.

Nall, of the 700 block of 102nd Avenue North, faces a misdemeanor battery charge.
