The Marco Division has three teams tied for first place.
Joey's Pizza, Crazy Flamingo and Rookies set on top, with two other teams only one game behind in the standings. The Marco Brewery maintains its one game lead in the Island Division.

Island Division
Islander Restaurant, 13, Nacho Mama's, 12
It was an extra inning affair with the Islander scoring three runs in the top of the 10th, then holding off a Nacho's rally to win. Jim Williams, Jerry Cnudde and Dave Banghart rapped out three hits each with Banghart recording two triples for the Islanders. Jim Dorey, Ralph Sieja, Banghart, Williams, and Cnudde each had two RBI. Steve Hummel and Rich Schiller ripped four hits each, with Hummel smacking a triple for Nacho's. Rich Krumholz had three hits, while Tom Gazzillo, Mike Puskar, and Jim Gilligan drove in two runs each.
DaVinci's, 26, Brewery, 19
DaVinci's bats erupted for 31 hits, giving the team its first win of the season. Tom Angelo and Tom Whitlock hammered out four hits each, while Paul Shelton, Fran Diotte, and Tom Purtell each had three hits. Whitlock had four RBI, Purtell three, with Jerry Engel, Jim Green, John Barrett, Denny Lello, Murph Knapke, Angelo, Shelton, and Diotte having two each. The Brewery's Ed Brack, Jack Martin, and Chuck Reich recorded four hits each, while John Cavanagh, and John Remhoff lined three hits each, with Remhoff and Reich cracking triples. Martin and Cavanagh each had three RBI, with Ray Kane, Ray Niemeyer, Dave Coward and Brack two each.
Sand Bar, 14, Sasso's, 6
Steve Clark stroked four hits, with Jim George and Mike Behr lining three each for Sand Bar. Scott Beyers and Nick Jacullo each drove in four runs, both smashing triples. John Sherwin had two RBI. Sasso's Bill Thompson and Jim Gilligan had two RBI each, with Thompson whacking a triple.
Brewery, 14, Sand Bar, 8
Ed Brack nailed four base hits, winning pitch Lou Wolfenson and Jack Martin had three hits each, with John Cavanagh crushing a triple for the Brewery. Doug Smith, Ray Kane, Tom Porter and Martin drove in two runs each in the win. Jim George stroked four hits for Sand Bar, with Scott Byers and Wayne Bombaci having three each. Jim Blankenship and Nick Jacullo each drove in two runs.
Nacho Mama's, 11, DaVinci's, 8
Tom Pugh, Tom Gazzillo, Mike Puskar and Chuck Reich helped propel a come-from-behind win with each banging out three hits for Nacho's. Pugh and Puskar each had three RBI, with Paul Vorwich and George Schnorr having two each. DaVinci's Murph Knapke lined three hits each and Jack O'Brien cracked a triple. Tom Angelo and Jerry Engel each drove in two runs.
Islander Restaurant, 13, Sasso's, 9
The Islander's Ed Kingsbury ripped four hits and Dave Banghart, Jim Williams, Herman Griffith, Jack Mateja and Fran Benedetti each had three hits in a 30-hit assault. Banghart and Ralph Sieja clobbered triples. Sieja ended up with four RBI, Williams three, with Kingsbury, Mateja, Jim Dorey and Ron Hobson having two each. Sasso's Mike Endelman blistered four hits, one a triple, with Jeff Hultgren, Art Sinisi and Bob Levasseur having three hits each. Endelman and Levasseur each recorded two RBI.
DaVinci's, 12, Sasso's, 4
Jerry Engel and Ray Niemeyer sparked DaVinci's with three hits each, both clocking triples as did Tom Angelo. Niemeyer drove in three runs, Engel, winning pitcher Jack O'Brien, and Paul Shelton each drove in two runs. Niemeyer also helped turn three double plays. Jimmy Cuevas and John DeRosa had three hits each with DeRosa slamming a two-run homer for Sasso's. Jim Gilligan drove in two runs.
Sand Bar, 15, Islander Restaurant, 14
The game went 11 innings before Mike Behr drove in the winning run. Jim Blankenship had four hits, one a triple. John Gross, Jim Rampage, and John Sherwin had three hits each for Sand Bar. Scott Byers and Sherwin racked up three RBI. Nick Jacullo homered and Sherwin had two RBI. Ed Kingsbury cracked out five hits, with Dave Banghart and Jerry Cnudde having three for the Islanders. Ron Hobson and Chuck Wilson each drove in two runs.
Brewery, 10, Nacho Mama's, 5
The Brewery remained in first in the Island Division behind the pitching of Lou Wolfenson. Ed Brack drove in four runs and John Cavanagh and Jack Martin chased two runs home for the Brewery. Cavanagh laced three hits. Gary LaMotte and Tom Gazzillo had three hits for Nacho Mama's, with Gazzillo recording four RBI.
Marco Division
CJ's on the Bay, 12, Mutual of Omaha Bank, 9
Bob Smith, Warren Uhl and Fred Kramer belted three hits each, including a Kramer triple. Roger Fleming, Fran Roche and Lee Dilk had two hits each for CJ's. Dilk had three RBI and Bob Beaver two. Dan Cody, Jerry Lenhoff, and Dave Droddy had two hits each for the Bank, with Lenhoff and Paul Burnett cracking triples and each driving in two runs.
Rookies, 14, Crazy Flamingo, 6
Rookies won its fifth game when Bill Dauch drove in the winning run in the top of the seventh, breaking a 5-5 tie. Jim White and Larry Tuttle had two RBI each in the win. Flamingo's Bob Monaco drilled three hits and chipped in with two RBI.
Joey's Pizza, 21, ADKOS, 13
The game had been tied three times before Joey's pushed eight runs across in the bottom of the sixth for the win. The crushing blow was a grand slam home run from Art Fletcher. Don Rooksberry, Rick Benedetti, Fred Carlson, and Mike Gallagher each had two hits, with Benedetti blasting a triple. Benedetti ended up with three RBI and Darryl Judson two for Joey's. Fuzz Fazekas, Jim Vitas, and Dan Callahan pounded out three hits each, with George Kirk, Leon Schmitt and Denny Davis having two each for ADKOS. Schmitt recorded three RBI, Vitas and Roberts two.
Crazy Flamingo, 7, ADKOS, 1
Flamingo's scored five runs in the first inning with the big blow a grand slam home run by Bob Monaco. Dom Fiorda zinged out three hits, one a triple; while Ray Zielinski, Al Cenicola, Dick DeAnna, and Bob Kirsinger chalked up two hits each for the Crazy Bird. Chet Dal Bianco and Dan Callahan had two hits each for ADKOS.
Joey's Pizza, 19, CJ's on the Bay, 6
Fourteen hits and 10 walks led Joey's over CJ's. Bob Grant, Tony Brock, and Gary Grant had two hits each, with Bob Grant cracking a triple for the pizza boys. Gary Grant had three RBI, Don Rooksberry, Bob Grant, Art Fletcher, and Gary Badger, each had two. CJ's Roger Fleming and Fran Roche each belted three hits and Lee Dilk two. Dan Meir and Dilk each drove in two runs.
Mutual of Omaha Bank, 11, Rookies, 9
The Bank rallied from a four-run deficit, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the sixth for the win. Ron Burger's two-RBI triple and Jerry Lenhoff's two-RBI single made the difference. Dan Cody rapped out three hits, Paul Burnett, Jack Stevenson, Dave Droddy, and Denny Davis had two hits each. Winning pitcher Stevenson had three RBI. Rookies Larry Tuttle and Joe Callahan tagged the ball for three hits each and two RBI, while Joe Kruse had two hits.

Marco Division Standings
