SW Florida weather: More tropical downpours expected Monday

Tropical moisture is flowing into Southwest Florida from the Gulf of Mexico as winds continue to push downpours into the region through Monday. Winds from the southwest will gust up around 20 to 25 mph.

Although there will be breaks from time to time, the region is looking at a cloudy, humid, damp day. Rain totals Monday could reach as high as 1 to 2 inches in many places.

Afternoon high temperatures will only reach into the mid and upper 80s. For the next couple of days, there will still be plenty of tropical moisture and more rain that what we typically would see.
