After being told she had to clean her room, deputies say a Golden Gate Estates teen went on a rampage, attacking her mother and brother and smashing a guitar and bookshelf.

Around 6 p.m., Katerina Lynn Fillios’s mother asked her to clean her room, according to an arrest report. Instead of doing her chores, Fillios was instead smoking marijuana inside her room, the mother said.

Angry at her mother’s request, Fillios began throwing items at the wall and pushed her mother out of the room, deputies reported. When Fillios’s brother tried to intervene, reports said Fillios swung a wooden guitar at him, breaking it in half.

Fillios then pulled a bookshelf down and began jumping up and down on it. She then went back to her room, where she continued throwing things, reports stated.

By the time Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrived, Fillios had packed a bag and told them she did not want to stay at the house anymore. Fillios was arrested to face a misdemeanor battery charge.
