After the super soaker of a day Thursday, you might be happy to hear that Friday shouldn't be quite as rainy, and some areas of Southwest Florida may actually manage to work in some sunny spells.

With that said, we're still in line to see scattered showers today, especially close to midday and through the afternoon hours. The good news is the rain won't be nearly as widespread or prolonged, and the rain chance will be around 50 percent.

Showers will gradually fade overnight leaving a partly cloudy sky and a mainly dry start to Saturday. Lots of tropical moisture will still be in play, though, for the first half of the weekend, so a scattering of showers and storms will be in order once again Saturday.
