Monday morning starts mainly dry with temperatures in the mid and upper 70s. Winds are light this morning, but will quickly turn onshore and come from the southwest at 5 to10 mph. That onshore flow could give us a stray shower or two near the coast.
Then with the winds staying onshore for the rest of the day, the stray rain chance we have will be aimed toward the inland areas. All of that to say, that the vast majority of us are in for a dry day. With more sunshine in the picture today, our temperatures will climb into the lower 90s this afternoon.
The sea breeze will keep the beaches just a bit cooler, in the upper 80s. Heat and humidity will be noticeable today and through the week. With highs in the lower 90s, the heat index will climb to near 100 degrees each afternoon.
