The heat and humidity will stay today and through the next few days. Highs are headed into the lower 90s, but will feel more like the lower 100s, so take precautions if you are going to be outdoors for any length of time.

As far as rain chances, we could see a stray shower wash ashore later this morning. Then there can be some very isolated shower or storm activity this afternoon, aimed deep inland and toward the east coast. For most of the region, it will still be a dry day as coverage of rain will only amount to about 20 percent of the area getting wet.

We'll keep onshore breezes through the next few days. That keeps humidity high and keeps a chance for a shower to wash ashore any of the next few mornings while the afternoon rain chances will be mainly inland.
