During the first half of the day Wednesday, we'll see a good amount of sunshine and we'll easily warm into the low to mid 90s for afternoon highs. The heat index will again be around 100 to105 degrees.

Scattered showers and storms are expected on the afternoon sea breeze. It looks like the start of the storm activity will be a little later today and last a little bit later into the evening. Some of these storms will be strong with heavy downpours, gusty winds and lots of thunder and lightning.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Dorian are still headed generally in our direction, but it looks like it will be more toward Friday when we see the increase in cloud cover and storm activity because of this tropical moisture.
