Storms stick around through the weekend

Thunderstorms are back in the forecast for this first weekend of summer.

Don't get me wrong. We're still fair game for a few afternoon and evening storms, but the activity shouldn't be as widespread compared to previous days. In fact, the storms should even wait a bit longer to fire up today, so expect to see more sunshine through the early afternoon before the rain machine gets going. The favored spots for rain today will be locations in our urban corridor of Charlotte, Lee, and Collier County, so if you're near the beaches, Highway 41 or I-75, your chance of getting rain will be higher than inland areas.
