After a chilly start to the day, temperatures Thursday will warm only into the lower 70s, despite sunny skies across Southwest Florida.
Typically, we're into the upper 70s for afternoon highs this time of year, so temperatures will be a bit cool as they stay nearly 10 degrees below average. This evening, temperatures will drop off quickly under clear skies as they bottom out in the upper 40s by Friday morning.
High pressure will be in control of our weather through the upcoming weekend, providing plenty of sunshine and a dry weather pattern. Another cold front is expected Tuesday.
