Brush fires broke out in East Naples and Estero Wednesday night, but did not threaten any homes or buildings.
In East Naples, firefighters were responding to a fire few acres in size near U.S. 41 East and St. Andrews Boulevard. East Naples Fire Chief Kingman Schuldt said the fire was isolated in an uninhabited area.
In Estero, a 50-acre brush fire broke out behind the Wildcat Run subdivision near Corkscrew Road. Estero Fire Rescue spokeswoman Susan Lindenmuth said it was not threatening any homes.
