SW Florida weather: Spring begins with showers in forecast

It is a warm and humid start to the day, the first day of spring. Temperatures are in the mid and upper 60s and we’ll see patchy fog for the morning commute, especially in the inland areas and on Alligator Alley. Highs today will reach into the lower 80s.

During the first half of the day, we could see a bit of sunshine peaking through the clouds. Through the rest of the day, we’ll see more cloud cover along with showers and even a few storms moving into Southwest Florida with a cold front. This rain will likely stick with us through the evening hours and into the night.

The front will slide to our south by Thursday, when we’ll see more sunshine and lower.
