FGCU Celebrates Win

For the second straight game No. 15-seed Florida Gulf Coast University, one of the best underdog stories ever in the NCAA tournament, played like it deserved to win. The Eagles’ 81-71 victory over No. 7-seed San Diego State in the third round will go down as an upset, but the players never saw it that way.

FGCU (26-10) used a monster run, highlighted by the highflying plays and in-your-face bravado that has endeared the Eagles to the nation, to take their place in tournament lore.

The win makes the Eagles the first No. 15 seeded team to make it to the NCAA Sweet 16. The Eagles will play the University of Florida in the NCAA men's basketball tournament Sweet 16 at 9:57 p.m. on Friday night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The game will be on TBS.
