NAPLES — The advertising wing of the Collier County tourism bureau has won several national and international marketing honors.
The advertising firm for the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitor Bureau received its awards at a late-January Adrian Awards Gala, taking home five Adrian Awards for creativity in marketing.
The awards were announced in a press release issued Monday.
Paradise Communications, Digital and Entertainment submitted the entries that won awards at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International event at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Paradise is a St. Petersburg-based marketing agency.
The Collier tourism bureau won in these categories:
■ Gold: “Bucket List” Best Integrated Campaign; “Power of Paradise” Best B2B Direct.
■ Silver: “Ice Age Meets Digital Age” Best Digital Outdoor; “Meeting in Paradise” Best B2B Campaign.
■ Bronze: “10,000 Islands” Best Integrated Campaign.
“We were honored just to be mentioned among the giant Madison Avenue ad agencies, as well as the global brand leaders of the industry such as the Walt Disney Co., British Airways, VisitFlorida, Las Vegas CVB, Priceline and Brand USA,” said Larry Tolpin, president and chief creative-innovation officer of Paradise, in a statement.
“However, to sweep the awards, including Best of Show, was a big surprise and we are deeply honored and humbled,” Tolpin said.
Paradise CEO Cedar Hames called it “a remarkable achievement to be honored with a single Adrian Award, especially when Brand USA with a $200 million budget won one gold and one silver. To be presented with so many awards and across so many marketing platforms is a tribute to our talented team and forward-thinking marketing partners who are leading the way in the digital and social media age.”
The Adrian Awards, a competition in its 54th year, honors creativity and best practices in hospitality, travel and tourism-related marketing.
