It's Your Business: JetBlue offers roundtrips to Hartford

JetBlue Airways will offer seasonal, nonstop service between Fort Myers and Hartford, Conn.

A daily roundtrip flight between Southwest Florida International Airport and Hartford’s Bradley International Airport will begin Oct. 24, according to the Lee County Port Authority. The flight will arrive from Hartford at 3 p.m. and depart from Fort Myers at 3:45 p.m., a news release stated.

This is the first time JetBlue, the fourth largest carrier at Southwest Florida International, will offer service between Fort Myers and Hartford.

Spherion opens new Naples office

A national recruiting and staffing provider has opened a new office in Naples.

Spherion Staffing Services, 4964 U.S. 41 N., will be led by Kelli Faulconer, who will help people seek jobs through Spherion.

The 65-year-old company places workers in administrative, clerical, customer service and light industrial part- and full-time jobs.

Nielsen joins Land Solutions Inc.

Andrew Nielsen has joined Land Solutions Inc. as the company’s land services coordinator.

He will be responsible for various aspects of land activities, including real estate feasibility, entitlement and construction management.

A Lee County native, Nielsen formerly worked for a prominent residential home builder and one of the largest land planning and engineering firms in the area.

PR group awards scholarships

The Southwest Florida chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association recently awarded scholarships.

Full conference scholarships valued at $695 were awarded to Janelle Beaber and Carla Ulakovic. Partial scholarships valued at $400 for a single day or toward a full conference registration were awarded to Betsy Clayton; Gail Dolan; Jaimie Duthoy; Kate Gooderham; Madison Mitchell and Heidi Taulman.

Recipients will receive the scholarships at the annual Florida Public Relations Association’s state conference at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club on Aug. 4-7.
