Q: Any information as to what is going in at the old Regions bank at the northwest corner of 951 and Vanderbilt Beach Road in the Mission Hills plaza where Sweetbay is? There have been workers there for a while, and they gutted the interior and removed all the tube system for the drive-thru. Thanks.

Q: I am wondering what is being in built in the site of the old Regions Bank at the intersection of Vanderbilt Beach Road and 951. Crews are working nonstop remodeling the building, which is across the street from my office in the Mission Hills shopping plaza. Rumors are that a Wendy’s is being built. Can you confirm?

A: You may be opening wide at that location in the future, but it won’t be for an old-fashioned hamburger.
The former AmSouth and Regions bank branch at 7485 Vanderbilt Beach Road is being converted into a dental office, Collier County planning records show.
The nearly 4,000-square-foot, free-standing out-parcel on the southern edge of the Mission Hills Shopping Center will be Mission Hills Dentistry. The 1-acre property was purchased last October by Professional Resource Development Inc., an Illinois-based real estate and development company that is developing the site for a dental office affiliated with Heartland Dental Care, also based in Illinois.
Heartland Dental Care, which provides administrative, marketing and business support services to dental practices, has more than 370 affiliated dental offices in 19 states, including more than 85 in Florida. Area dental offices affiliated with Heartland include Renaissance Aesthetic Dentistry in East Naples, Bonita Dental Arts in Bonita Springs and Complete Dentistry of Estero.
A timeline for completion for the new dental office and other details were not immediately available.
