SW Florida weather: Smooth sailing this week

After a beautiful end to the weekend, it looks as if the stretch of comfortable weather will continue through the early part of the week in Southwest Florida. The one minor change will be a few more clouds in the forecast with an outside chance for a stray shower or two.

The week will start with patchy clouds working their way across the area with a few sprinkles or a brief shower across coastal locations. Temperatures will also be a bit more comfortable in the lower 60s, with a few inland spots settling into the upper 50s.

Through the day we'll see a mixture of clouds and sunshine with breezy winds from the west and northwest. Afternoon highs will continue to run several degrees below normal as many of areas climb into the lower half of the 80s.
