Bonita Springs chamber hosts lunch series

The Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its Summer Lunch Networking Series the last Tuesday of every month, from May to September.

At the May 28 lunch, CenturyLink’s Brian Hamman will speak about cloud computing, explaining its basic premise.

Hamman also will introduce the savvisdirect application hosting service from CenturyLink and explain its product offering in this technological area.

The lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 27220 Bay Landing Drive, Bonita Springs. Cost is $25 in advance for members and $45 for nonmembers.

Fort Myers Chamber hosts lunch series

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will hold its third session of its lunch and learn series from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 14 at Keiser University, 9100 Forum Corporate Way, Fort Myers.

The topic is “Business Planning-Goal Setting” and will be presented by Heather Christie of ActionCOACH Executive Coaching; Karen Mosteller of Markham, Norton, Mosteller, Wright & Co.; John Greene of Scott Fischer Enterprises; and Brent Stokes, owner of Stokes Marine.

GreenCare’s Vanscoy accepts spot on board of directors

Gordon Vanscoy, GreenCare president and founder, has accepted a position on the board of directors for Keep Collier Beautiful.

The organization encourages people to take greater responsibility for their environment.

Vanscoy will help Keep Collier Beautiful with community seminars on friendly environmental approaches to lawn beautification and pest control. He also expects to help instruct on creating green-space habitats in backyards around Collier County.

Hudgins named a VP at Naples bank

The First National Bank of the Gulf Coast has named Jody Hudgins executive vice president and deputy chief credit officer in the bank’s headquarters in Naples.

Hudgins received his bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn., and a graduate degree from the University of Virginia’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management.

Hudgins formerly was executive vice president for First National Bank of Pennsylvania in its Sarasota offices.
