It's Your Business: CBIA hosts industry panel Thursday

The Collier Building Industry Association hosts the annual Industry Panel from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Life Center, 625 111th Ave., Naples.

The panel — titled “Raising the Roofs” — brings local experts in the building and real estate industries together to discuss local trends. Panelists include William Bullock, vice president for the West Central Florida Division at Minto Communities, and Bob Imig, president of Stock Construction at Stock Development.

Immel named a top volunteer

Otto W. Immel, a partner in the Naples office of the national law firm Quarles & Brady, has been named a 2013 Economic Partnership Volunteer of the Year by the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

Every year, the chamber recognizes those members who have made it a priority to help advance the organization and work toward achieving its mission “to make Collier County the best place in America to live, work, and visit.”

Immel and other outstanding volunteers were honored during the chamber’s annual meeting in April.

Immel graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia.

Goforth to head Northern Trust region

Stephanie E. Goforth has been appointed head of Northern Trust’s West Region of Florida, encompassing offices from Naples to Tampa Bay.

She is responsible for overseeing the region’s banking, fiduciary and investment management services, as well as the company’s new business and growth strategy throughout the market.

Goforth joined Northern Trust in 2005 and has more than 30 years of trust, investment and banking experience. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida.

Her office is at 4001 U.S. 41 N., Naples.
