Prep football: Neumann to make special (teams) adjustments in spring game

Imagine School-North Port at St. John Neumann (Friday, 7 p.m.):

Coach Steve Howey will get a full evaluation of his squad, as offense, defense, and special teams will be on display in the spring game.

“Many coaches don’t do special teams at the spring game, but we wanted to get a good look at our entire team,” Howey said. “In years we didn’t do special teams in the spring game, we didn’t really practice them.”

The Celtics have several talented rising seniors to lead the team, including running back John Augustin, linebacker/offensive guard Liam Pembroke, linebacker Brian Davenport, safety Ray Perry and wide receiver Solomon Obidiegwu. A pair of rising seniors — Tylor Dimond and Cameron Joyce — are duking it out for the quarterback position.
