— The longest-running college football rivalry in the state is relevant once again.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Saturday’s game between Miami and Florida State has national championship implications. The Hurricanes head to Tallahassee ranked No. 7 in the BCS standings, while the host Seminoles are ranked third.
