Thursday morning starts with temperatures near 70 degrees across Southwest Florida. We'll head toward highs in the upper 80s this afternoon with passing clouds.

The lower-level clouds will come in on a northeasterly breeze that shouldn't be quite as strong today, staying about 5 to10 mph, for the most part. Higher in the atmosphere, the clouds will be streaming in from the Gulf of Mexico.

There is an area of showers and unsettled weather out in the Gulf of Mexico. It is not headed here, but a few clouds will blow in our direction. There will be times of overcast skies and times where you'll see some breaks for a bit of sunshine.
