Roger Raymond fundraiser

A 5K color walk/run will be held for local resident Roger Raymond on Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. at Marco Island Charter Middle School,

1401 Trinadad Ave. Raymond is the Athletic Director of Marco Island Academy and Marco Island Charter Middle School. He was injured back in September and broke his femur in two places while out running. Raffles will occur after race. Cost: $30 on the day of event. Information: klnash@live.com

Fakahatchee Swamp walks

The Friends of Fakahatchee will host swamp walks Nov. 16 at 9:30 a.m. and ending by 4 p.m. Fee is $70 per person or $50 for members of the Friends of Fakahatchee. Reservations are required. Visit www.orchidswamp.org.

Christmas at Palm Cottage

Naples Historical Society has announced Historic Palm Cottage house museum’s old fashioned Christmas celebration will run through Dec. 31. Times are Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 until 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, 1 to 8 p.m. Historic Palm Cottage and The Norris Gardens are located at 137 12th Avenue South, at Gulfshore Boulevard, just one block east of the Naples Pier in the Naples Historic District.
