Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrested a North Naples man Tuesday after they say he was driving a red Ferrari at over 100 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Sudhir P. Bajaj, 49, was driving in excess of 100 miles per hour down Vanderbilt Drive, which has a posted speed limit of 35 miles per hour, according to the arrest report.

When the deputy pulled the two-door Ferrari over and got a better look inside, he found two women “sitting on each other’s laps” in the front passenger seat, without seat belts, the report states.

Bajaj, of the 200 block of Indies Way, was arrested and faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.

On his way to the Naples Jail Center, he asked deputies to lessen the speed or charge, the report states.
