As expected, Southwest Florida saw only a few downpours Monday, so much of the area stayed dry.
The region again starts the day with dry weather and a good amount of sunshine through the morning hours. Highs today are pegged at about 90 degrees. Winds from the east-southeast will push enough moisture into place that coverage of rain today will be for about 30 to 40 percent of the area.
Into Wednesday, tropical moisture will begin to really feed into Southwest Florida. We expect about 50 percent of the area to see rain by Wednesday afternoon. Then, on Thursday and Friday, some higher rain chances come our way. We'll see 60 to 70 percent coverage of rain with plenty of clouds and some of the downpours starting earlier in the day.
