The return of much drier weather is being ushered in by a weak cool front making its way across Southwest Florida. Expect warm afternoons with pleasant nights over the next several days.
Wednesday morning, temperatures will start in the lower to middle 70s with a few patchy clouds mixing in with sunshine, at times. As that cool front works its way down the peninsula, a stray shower will be possible, however, rain prospects will remain slim with the vast majority staying dry. This afternoon, expect partly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80s.
Tonight, clear skies will take over and temperatures will be quite pleasant as they settle into the low 70s in town, with middle to upper 60s across our inland and northern communities. Dry air will arrive in earnest on Thursday, and this beautiful stretch of weather with lower humidity will stay in place through the Columbus Day holiday weekend.
