Sale e Pepe, a restaurant at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, has received the prestigious “Ospitalita Italiana Ristoranti Italiana nel mondo” Seal of Quality Award from the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes the authenticity of the cuisine, products used and the maintenance of high standards of Italian hospitality.

As an award recipient, Sale e Pepe will be included in the third edition of “Ospitalita Italiana: The Authentic Italian Table,” which recognizes authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant also participated in a large-scale public event at The Metropolitan Pavilion in September, where attendees could sample the best of Italy’s authentic culinary heritage.

Italy’s culinary achievements, as well as its magnificent Renaissance art and architecture are celebrated at the beachfront Sale e Pepe restaurant. Chef Giuliano Matarese and his culinary team create, from scratch daily, a menu reminiscent of his Southern Italian homeland, combining the familiar taste of fresh ingredients with exotic herbs and spices, giving traditional Southern Italian cuisine a progressive feel.

Sale e Pepe offers options to dine indoors or beachside on the terrace, and has been recognized consecutively each year since 2006 by Wine Spectator magazine for its extensive wine list and by AAA as a Four Diamond Award Winning Restaurant.

Reservations are preferred at Sale e Pepe and can be made by calling the restaurant at (239) 393-1600. Seasonal specials are available online by visiting www.sale-e-pepe.com.
