Man seriously injured after fall from balcony in Golden Gate

A 50-year-old man was flown to a local hospital Thursday after he fell from a second-story balcony at a Golden Gate apartment complex.

First responders were called to the Wolfe Apartments, 4590 16th Place S.W., around 9:20 p.m., according to a spokeswoman with the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Initial reports said the man was conscious but seriously injured.

EMS crews flew the man to Lee Memorial Hospital under a trauma alert.

EMS personnel were unable to give the man's condition Friday. A spokeswoman said reports did not have information about how the man fell.
