The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is distributing fliers asking for helping in solving the homicide of an Immokalee man last month.

On Tuesday, the agency released the first photo of Moyses Perez, 27, who was a field laborer in Immokalee. Perez was killed Aug. 28 at Boston Avenue and South Seventh Street.

Deputies described the killing as happening during a botched robbery. An incident report was redacted in certain spots and did not say how Perez was killed.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Steve Spell at 239-252-0056, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office main line at 239-252-9300 or, to stay anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
