An East Naples man accused of breaking into his neighbor’s apartment said the neighbor owed him $10,000 and slapped his girlfriend’s rear end.
Before the break-in Tuesday afternoon, Michael Basil Taylor’s girlfriend said Taylor threatened to stab her in the eye with a knife, then hit her twice. She told Collier County deputies she ran to the neighbor’s apartment to get away from Taylor.
Taylor, 56, then pushed his way into the neighbor’s apartment and began pushing and grabbing the neighbor, according to an arrest report. The 74-year-old neighbor said he put Taylor into a headlock in self defense, but Taylor bit his arm.
Taylor, who lives in an apartment at 2135 Scrub Oak Circle, faces charges of battery and burglary with battery.
