State officials have suspended the license of a Bonita Springs massage therapist following allegations of prostitution within her practice.

Jinghua Sun, owner of the Sun Asian Massage Spa at 24971 U.S. 41, was arrested twice earlier this year – once in Broward County and again in Lee County – on accusations of prostitution, according to state records. On May 21, five days after Sun’s arrest in Lee County, the state health department issued an order that restricted Sun from working with male patients.

Despite the emergency order, an inspector found Sun clad in underwear and a white shirt in a room with a nude male on May 29, according to state records. That revelation led state health officials to suspend Sun’s massage therapy license on Sept. 5.

State records show Sun’s license first was issued in June 2012. Her misdemeanor prostitution case is pending in Lee County court.
