Today, expect to see clouds bubbling up and building by midday. Winds from the east-southeast will collide with the afternoon sea breeze, giving us scattered showers and storms this afternoon.

In the upper levels of our atmosphere, an area of low pressure will be moving across the state, giving area storms extra energy. That will make for a more active afternoon than what we have seen in the past few days.

That more active weather will continue into Thursday, too. In fact, for tomorrow we could even see some showers and storms get started in the morning. Afternoon high temperatures will be near 90 degrees and overnight lows will be in the mid 70s for the next week.
