Today, we will once again see plenty of tropical moisture in place across Southwest Florida. That tropical moisture will give us the possibility of a shower or storm at any time of day. There will be a few showers through the morning hours with the activity increasing as we get into the afternoon.
By the time the day is done, about 50 to 60 percent of the region will have gotten rain. With the showers starting earlier, afternoon high temperatures will likely be held in the upper 80s.
For Friday, our pattern of quiet mornings followed by storms on the afternoon sea breeze will return. That "typical" pattern will be in place well into next week. We'll have highs in the lower 90s and lows in the mid 70s as we look ahead through the next seven days.
