Good week brings 3 first-place ties in Swamiland
It was a good Week Two for all our swamis, resulting in three tied for first place.
Mike Vanderjagt won the week with a 12-3 score. Roger Raymond and Don Healy went 11-4 and Greg West was 10-5.
Vanderjagt, Raymond and Healy are tied at 20-9, with West at 18-11.
The swamis agreed on 10 picks this week. Raymond goes alone on two games, while the others go alone on one game each.
Raymond goes against the grain in taking Pittsburgh at home against Chicago.
Raymond again went with the home team in taking Washington at home against Detroit.
West thinks it will be a breakout game for Detroit.
“I’m off the RGIII bandwagon,” Vanderjagt said in speaking of the Griffin, the Washington quarter back.
Vanderjagt surprises the swamis by taking Houston at Baltimore.
Healy says “their nasty,” meaning good, but takes the Ravens, “because they are nasty on the field.”
West says Buffalo will travel to Big Apple to ground the Jets.
“Did I just take the Jets,” Vanderjagt said. “I don’t think they can beat FBA,” meaning First Baptist Academy of Naples.
A Healy surprise, or not, is Oakland going to Denver and beating the Broncos.
None of the swamis feel Tampa Bay has a chance at New England.
“Tampa Bay is a mess,” said West. (Coach Greg) Schiano has lost control of the Bucs in just two weeks.”
On the other hand all the swamis like Miami to stay on the roll at home against a playoff team in Atlanta.
Not sure how many football experts would have thought Miami could go to 3-0 before the season started.
Stop by next week and see how our Swamis scored.
