Deputies clear the scene of reported bomb threat in Golden Gate

The Sheriff's Office has cleared the scene after bomb-sniffing dogs didn't find anything.


Collier County deputies are investigating a report of a bomb threat Friday night at a Golden Gate grocery store.

Deputies received a call around 8 p.m. of a bomb threat at the Sweetbay at 4995 Golden Gate Parkway, according to a Sheriff's Office spokeswoman. The employee who notified the Sheriff's Office was in the process of evacuating the store.
