For the first time this week, we've got a dry day in the forecast across Southwest Florida just in time for the weekend.

The tropical moisture we've had for most of the week is finally gone, and we're left with lots of dry air, which will bring plenty of sunshine back in our forecast for Friday. It's possible a few clouds may work in from the northeast this afternoon and evening, but overall, it's going to be a very sunny day.

We'll kick things off this morning with a nice clear sky and temperatures in the low to mid 70s, and with an abundance of sunshine around today, temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 80s for those daytime highs. What's more, some of the drier air aloft will make it down to the surface, so we should notice a slight dip in humidity through the day.

If you've been waiting for better weather to go to the beach, it's still going to be a little windy today. Winds will come in from the north northwest at 10 to15 mph, and seas will be around 3 feet with inland waters at a moderate chop. The water temperature in the Gulf is 83 degrees.
