It is a mild morning with temperatures in the lower 70s to get things started beneath mainly clear skies. For most of us, the day will stay dry with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

There will be a few downpours this afternoon, though. The coverage of rain for Southwest Florida will be around 20 to 30 percent, most of which falls south of the Caloosahatchee River.

Moisture in the Caribbean will surge our way by mid- to late week. This will lead to plenty of showers and storms all the way through Friday and possibly into the weekend.
