A reinforcing shot of cool air pushed into Southwest Florida this morning, sending morning lows down into the 40s, but some warmer weather awaits in the days ahead.

Despite the chilly start, Southwest Floridians should expect a pleasant and mild day on the way with temperatures warming into the mid 70s by the afternoon. As a drier air mass invades Southwest Florida behind yesterday's front, the area will keep clear and sunny skies from start to finish.

Winds will also ease up a bit compared to yesterday. The breeze will come in from the north and northwest today between 5-15 mph.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer tonight, but it will still be on the cool side with lows dropping into the low 50s and upper 40s by early Monday morning.
