We start Thursday morning with dense fog across much of Southwest Florida. Through the day, the heat and humidity continue. Afternoon high temperatures will top out in the lower 80s, but a big change is on the way with a cold front.
Late Thursday night, showers and even a thunderstorm will move through Southwest Florida with that front. Behind the cold front, there will be a big drop in temperatures. Friday morning, lows will be in the mid to upper 50s.
Then, we'll enjoy more sunshine on Friday, but even with the sunshine, afternoon high temperatures will warm only into the upper 60s. Winds from the north will be gusting around 25 mph. Saturday morning will be the coolest time period with lows in the upper 40s to the lower 40s inland. Then we'll start warming things up and be back near 80 degrees by Sunday afternoon.
