The cold front has arrived. Today, the chilly temperatures are funneling right on down the peninsula and into Southwest Florida.

We'll get to see mainly sunny skies, but it will be windy. Winds from the north around 20 mph will gust to around 30 mph. That northerly turn of the wind sends in the cooler weather.

Afternoon high temperatures will only warm into the lower 60s. Then, the cool down continues into the night. By Saturday morning, we'll be waking up to temperatures in the upper 40s with some mid 40s in inland areas.

By Saturday afternoon, that chilly time period will be over.
