The mild and muggy start to Friday morning is a sign of things to come across Southwest Florida over the next couple of days as the warmth and humidity surges in from the south.
We'll start the day with lots of clouds and even some patchy fog in a few locations. Some scattered rain will be possible for inland communities but will continue to fade and fizzle as the morning rolls along. Clouds will gradually break up by the mid to late morning, which should allow for at least some partial sunshine this afternoon. Even with lots of cloud cover around for the first half of the day, temperatures will rise pretty steadily with readings around 80 degrees by noon and daytime highs between 82 and 84 later in the afternoon.
Rain chances will stay pretty isolated today with only a few afternoon showers developing along the sea breeze late in the day. Look for another pretty warm and muggy night with temperatures only dropping to the upper 60s by Saturday morning.
We'll see the potential for more lows clouds and perhaps a little fog early Saturday, but overall, we should enjoy more sunshine through the day. Sunday is shaping up to be a nicer day with lower humidity and plentiful sunshine.
