Power restored to North Naples neighborhood

Power has been restored to the 2,000 Florida Power and Light customers who experienced a brief shortage this morning.

An FPL spokesman said a downed wire was responsible for the outages centered in North Naples which first occurred at 7:22 a.m.

"Within 15 minutes it was down to 800 customers and within 45 minutes, it was down to 300 customers," spokesman Greg Brostowicz said.

By 10:22 a.m., power had been restored to those affected.

Brostowicz did not know the cause of the downed wire.

Customers experiencing power outages are encouraged to call 1-800-4-OUTAGE or else visit the FPL.com site to notify the company.
