We're on the verge of seeing a prolonged period of cooler weather across Southwest Florida that will last all the way through the weekend.
Temperatures are noticeably cooler Wednesday morning with readings in the 60s and 50s, but this is just a taste of what's coming in the days and nights ahead.
We'll keep plenty of clouds around Wednesday, especially this morning, but some breaks to sun will be possible later in the afternoon. A drop in humidity combined with the cooler temps will feel pretty refreshing today. Our daytime highs should only reach the low 70s this afternoon, and a northerly wind will keep the air feeling less humid as well.
Clouds and even some passing sprinkles will be possible overnight, which will signal the arrival of an even colder air mass settling into Southwest Florida on Thursday. By Thursday morning, our weather will become quite chilly and breezy as wind chill values get as low as the upper 30s.
