It looks as if we are in for a very different kind of day in Southwest Florida on Thursday. After starting out with morning temperatures in the mid to upper 40s, skies should become mostly sunny before noon. However, the added sunshine won't do much to warm up to the normal 70-degree weather for this time of year.
Highs will stay in the lower 60s on Thursday and it will be windy, as well. Expect north/northwest winds at 20 mph throughout the day. Wind gusts will pop above 25 mph at times, making that 60-degree high feel chilly.
Overnight lows Thursday night into Friday morning will likely dip to the mid and upper 30s.Temperatures along the coast should stay above freezing, but it will still be pretty cold on Friday morning right up to the Gulf beaches.
