A reinforcing push of cold air Friday will keep temperatures pretty chilly across Southwest Florida.

After starting the morning with lows in the low 40s and upper 30s, we'll only end up warming into the mid 60s this afternoon, which is about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. The winds will also pick up during the day in the wake of this secondary cold front, so expect a stiff northeasterly breeze at 10 to 15 mph with gusts just over 20.

Humidity levels continue to stay low and comfortable for us, and there's no rain to speak of today. We're in store for another chilly evening with lows falling into the low 40s along the urban corridor and as low as the mid 30s for some of our inland areas.

Expect warmer temperatures through the weekend.
