Collier deputies arrest suspect in East Naples bank robbery

Collier County detectives say this man robbed a Regions Bank in East Naples on Wednesday afternoon. Detectives describe the robber as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown eyes. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. His face was obscured by what appeared to be a bandana.

Update:

Collier County deputies have arrested an East Naples man in connection with a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery.

German Otero, 24, of the 3900 block of Mindi Avenue, faces charges of robbery, armed robbery with a weapon, aggravated assault and grand theft.

Otero is accused of robbing the Regions Bank at 4904 U.S. 41 E.

Witnesses said the robber came into the bank, showed a teller a gun and demanded cash. He left through the front door after the teller forked over an undisclosed amount of cash.
