SW Florida weather: Super, warmer weekend on tap

A nice warming trend starts Friday, although the day still will feature plenty of cloud cover and possible scattered showers.

High temperatures today will climb into the mid to upper 70s. Overnight lows will not be as cool, with temperatures holding in the low 60s.

Sunshine returns to the area on Saturday. We'll see partly sunny skies for much of the day, but the sun that we do see will allow temperatures to reach the low 80s.

Sunday will feature a heavy dose of sun, with partly cloudy skies and highs again climbing into the low 80s. Our dry and warm weather pattern holds as we start next week, with partly cloudy skies and highs holding in the low to mid 80s.
