"Mostly we schedule our grocery shopping runs and errands all on one day. We used to go randomly, whenever. Now we’ll go to the store and library and post office all on the same day. We’ve always shopped at the places where we can get the best value, because we have five children. For example, we’ll always get bakery and deli at Publix because that’s superior quality, but we go get our diapers, toilet paper and paper towels at Wal-Mart. "

"One thing we do with food is to make a list for the whole week. We used to go every day. Also, if we have trips to Naples, we combine everything we have to for that one day. It’s refining our lifestyle, and we should have done it a long time ago. It’s definitely like a wake-up call. I don’t think it’s going to end any time soon, and I think it’s going to be up to the next president, to be honest."

"I use a lot more coupons, and combine a lot more errands. I buy the Sunday paper for the coupons, and go online to coupons.com and whenever there’s an in-store sale like at Walgreens, I buy there. I’m cutting back on splurging and buying things I don’t need. Having things organized helps you focus more on what you’re going to purchase, instead of just wandering stores and being an impulse buyer."
